There are a lot of upcoming events that make me happy that e-Sports is getting recognition in this humble archipelago. The Germany-based ESL, the world’s largest e-Sports company, is going to hold ESL One Manila on April 23-24, 2016 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Watch the video about ESL One Manila below:

I’m personally very hyped about this since I know a lot of the top players in this country have been looking for an opportunity to show-off their skills. Even better? Philippines has an exclusive qualifier that gives the chance to all aspiring players from all over the country!

The qualifier takes place in two phases in a period of 3 months starting from Cagayan de Oro to Manila:

Phase 1 is a series of qualifiers set in different parts of the country, with a slot allotted for each province/venue. Concluding with an online qualifier that has 2 slots.
Phase 2 is when the eight qualifying teams show their worth in a 12-team single elimination bracket. Meanwhile, Mineski-Dota, TNC Pro Team, Execration, and Extremist have been seeded into the second round.

I personally hope that everyone will practice and do their best. This is an opportunity that doesn’t come very often in the Philippines!

If you want to register your team, go to the ESL website for the step-by-step instructions.
